I can't believe that I already have week 2 done and in the books.

My little's are really starting to get into the daily routine and making connections with all of their new friends.

This week the children are still learning friends names and recognizing their own name.  This pocket chart story using children's names and what they can do at school was the perfect addition to our group meeting.

The children also enjoyed hearing the story of Mary and her Little Lamb that followed her to school.

We are still practicing how to use all of our learning centers.  As the children rotated through the centers this week we added a few more items from the shelves to show them how they could expand their play in each area.

This week we started our regular small group activities that are geared toward assessments that need to get done and also learning goals based on children's needs.

I did not dream to be a teacher because I know that it's going to be a tough job. But based on your post, it may be tiring but the happiness comes within! The job and tasks itself are the ones that make you happy. I guess, if we really love what we do and that is our passion, we will never have the reason to give up! Being an educator might be a hard task but that's not an enough reason to let go of the thing you want to do. By the way, thank you for the realization you had given me! I wasn't expecting that!
