Having a plan gives us the freedom of being present with the children in our classroom. Assessments are a vital component for a high-quality early childhood program. They are an important tool in understanding and supporting young children's development. Assessment rings are a great way to assess your little ones. You are able to put one ring in your pocket and assess the child where they are at in the classroom. I have found that when it comes to assessing preschool children if you call them up to do an assessment they freeze, but if you approach them while they are at play and ask them a few simple questions they are more successful with the assessment process. You can track their progress with the pre and post student assessment data sheets. Looking for a way to get those piles of papers off your desk? Then the digital assessment tool is for you. You can have everything at the palm of your hand and best of all the students don't even know that they are getting assessed they think they are playing a game. Students need to flip through the slide show and answer questions, you can document the findings on an editable PDF file right from your tablet as they answer each question. Just simply tap the square for each measure they know. Each learning domain has it's own PowerPoint slide show. This allows you to have the freedom of assesses the domains that you need without having to find the needed assessment in one long packet. Assessment RingsDigital Assessment Tools |
