Here's what happened last week

Picture
We had a group discussion about planting after we tallied which bean we thought would grow the tallest.
Picture
After we planted a variety of bean so the children could see how they grow.
Picture
The bean jar was placed in the science center with a glow light handing above it.
Picture
Day 5 the beans had already began to get roots on them and the children documented what they were seeing.

At work time the children painted a carpet tube different shades of green so that we could turn it into a beanstalk.
Picture
The beanstalk was placed in the science center next to the bean jar.
Picture
Children measured the beanstalk using Jack and Giant foot prints, they then recorded their findings.
Picture
During small group time we worked on farm yard rhyming words.
Picture
We also worked on saying and writing our numbers.
