Planting with Kids
Every year we plant a vegetable garden with the children, but this year we started a little bit earlier, since we now have a green house in the outdoor classroom.
We turned the sensory table into our planting station for the day. We collected empty cheery tomato containers from the cafetiere and placed them on the side with coffee filters. Children placed the coffee filter in the container and filled with dirt.
Next they came to the table with seeds and markers. Planted their seeds and wrote on a large craft stick what they planted.
Next we took a trip to the green house watered and placed our seeds on the shelves in the green house.
Now we just have to wait.
