Every year we plant a vegetable garden with the children, but this year we started a little bit earlier, since we now have a green house in the outdoor classroom. We turned the sensory table into our planting station for the day. We collected empty cheery tomato containers from the cafetiere and placed them on the side with coffee filters. Children placed the coffee filter in the container and filled with dirt. Next they came to the table with seeds and markers. Planted their seeds and wrote on a large craft stick what they planted. Next we took a trip to the green house watered and placed our seeds on the shelves in the green house. Now we just have to wait. What's In The GardenThis 65 page lesson is a great companion for the story Whose Garden Is It? It is filled with ideas that are sure to spark the interest of all children in your classroom. This lesson covers all learning domains for preschool children. Word Wall Cards Bingo Game Flannel Board Stories Grid Board Games Memory Card Game
