Highlights of what our week looked like. Our DreamsWe started our week off with a book reading of I Have a Dream and a group discussion of what our dreams would be today. During work time children created their I have a Dream sign for the march. The children did a fabulous job coming up with their dreams for our world. This one made me laugh. "For New World not to be rude." Group WritingEach week we do a group writing activity where we work on letter formation and guided drawings. Here is a peek at what their writing is looking like. Creating TogetherIn the clay studio we worked on a community pots. Where children collaborated together to create a unique classroom pot that we will use to make a nature arrangement. We use Little Treasures Language & Literacy and Math Connects for our curriculum. I inhance the curriculum with the Preschool Learning Foundation and materials that I create myself.

Tami - Our students are struggling with letter formations, so I was interested in what program your students were using. What is the name of the you tube video? The new program we are using just doesn't seem to be connecting with the students.

I do not use a particular program for my writing lessons. We do weekly shared writing activities during group time where we have a group discussion and I write down what the children say and talk about sentence structure, spacing, punctuation and letter formation. We also do a group directional writing activity weekly. you can read more about it here. http://www.learningandteachingwithpreschool.com/blog/group-writing-activity Leave a Reply. |
