Fall is in the air and one thing that I love about fall is apples. I love going to the orchard to pick apples for homemade apple sauce. There is nothing like it. So with apples on my mind I decided to update my lesson plan Packed with Apples. Many new activities have been added to this already packed full lesson. Take a peek at what has been added. A pocket chart story using children's names. These kind of group activities are by far one of the children's favorites. Every child likes to hear their name when doing group activities and what a great way to capture their attention. Our district this year is really big on letter formation and teaching our little ones the right way to write right from the get go. I have been trying many different ways to make this a hands on activity for my little ones and I have finally found the activity that makes a difference in how they are understanding letter formation. Are you ready for this little tip... arrows cut from black poster board. They can move them around easily and form their letters and the arrows remind them to start at the top and go down. Another class favorite Say it, Count it, Write it apple tree math mats. Ten frame counting cards with pom poms. A great way to get your little one subitizing from the start. Quickly identifying the number without counting. This lesson plan is packed full of hands on activities to get your little ones leaning while playing. This 127 page lesson is packed full of ideas that are sure to spark the interest of all children in your classroom and give them the joy of life long learning. This lesson covers all the learning domains for your children in your classroom.
