Watching the children today brought back wonderful childhood memories. Today the children went outside after a spring rain and found a rather large puddle to play in. I thought to myself that nature really does provides the best play tool. This puddle of water could not of been placed in a better place, right next to the Mud Kitchen.Once the other children saw what was happening they searched high and low to find everything on the playground that could hold water. Here they played for the whole outside time where they laughed, shared, and collaborated with one another.
I hope some day they will look back and remember the fun they had playing around a puddle and appreciate the simple things in life. So lets remember the simple things that brought us the most joy as children and provide those opportunities to them.
