Arrival time in the morning with parents dropping off and children putting away their belongings can turn hectic in a blink of an eye. but... if you have morning work time in place with different activities a hectic time can turn into a well oiled machine. Only Open Certain Areas Only have a few areas open so that the children have the opportunity to select what they would like to do first thing in the morning. I like to select areas that are near our parent sign in area so that I can over see the activities and still be able to greet parents and children as they arrive. Have two tables set up and ready to go before children arrive with different hands on learning activities. And I always like to set out activities in the morning that will promote fine motor development, like pinch and cover activities. In my room if I don't have something out for writing and drawing in the morning I would crash and burn. Every year I have a group of children that could write and draw all day long, so I make sure that there is a table or area out in the morning that will allow those children to do what they love most. Every morning I also set out something that they can use to build and construct with, to help keep those little hands busy and engaged until we begin our day. You can find all of these activities here. Save 25% with the Bundle
