This is the time of the year that we need to spice up some of our centers to grab their attention and keep them engaged. So with that being said...When we came back from break we switched up our light table center and created a glowing writing table. We attached two black lights to the underside of the loft. Added a table with a container of highlighter pens. Wallah we now have a glowing writing center. It is now the most popular center in the classroom. It has been very helpful with getting those children to the writing center that are normally hesitant to want come and write. Who would of now by just adding a few key ingredients to a center that you could get all of your little ones to enjoy writing. Success! Now I am in need of writing pads. Time to go to our wonderful local print shop and pick up all the scrap pads that they have. I could not survive with out them they are always a life saver for the pocket book. What new and exciting things are you doing to spice up the writing to keep them learning in your classroom?

The black lights make the highlighter pens glow like that. I got my Black light on amazon.
