Block Play

It amazes me to watch children at play.  Today we added some cardboard to the loose parts shelf in our construction center.  It did not take the children long to find the new items and know instantly what they wanted to do with it. 

A parking garage for all the cars and trains.

We have had to make some changes in our room arrangement do to smart boards being installed. With that being said I had to move my group meeting area to where the smart board is now located.  So I moved our construction center to where the group use to be.  

I was going to get rid of the large white board that was in the group area since I did not need it anymore, but I think the children have better plans for that white board. 

It is now their block planning board.  They also found our clothes pins with magnets on them and hung up some blue prints.  All I have to say is why didn't I think of that?
